Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7:00 .m. Admission is $5.00, per person at the door. Children under 6 are free! Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Students must have supervision at all times. No drop offs, please.
“The kids – and the teachers – really look forward to the MEF’s Annual Basketball ‘Throw Down’ ”, said Tommie Ann Gibney, President of the Medford Education Foundation. “The teachers play for bragging rights and the kids get to cheer on their teachers andshow their school spirit. The MEF is happy to sponsor events like this which not only raise money to benefit our schools, but also create community within our school family.”
The Medford Education Foundation is a non-profit 501 ( C) (3) entity comprised of parents, business owners and educators who work to raise money in support of the Medford Township Schools. Since 2004, the Medford Education Foundation has raised nearly $600,000.00 for the benefit of the public schools and students for things such as mobile laptop laboratories, e-readers, grants to classroom teachers, STEM education initiatives, technology upgrades and the purchase of library and independent reading books. The Medford Township Public School District serves over 2500 students in grades K-8.
